Land of the Dragon is a weekly documentary series in English that provides a window into a complex society that is increasingly impacting our own. It is filmed in China and produced by D3 Productions, Inc. in Oakland, California. Every 30-mintue episode sheds light on the lives, struggles, and cultures of the country’s 56 ethnic groups, the people’s relationships to the land, and the effects of modernization on Chinese individuals and society. It gives viewers a deeper, more balanced understanding of who the Chinese people are, what they value, how they live, and where they are headed.

Land of the Dragon entered the public TV scene in 2003. Since then, eight original series--with 13 episodes each-- ran continuously through 2007, and again in 2010. There will be a new release of the series in 2012. Every episode delves into one or two stories. These story titles are listed below.
