Making a Buck in Beijing

Making a Buck in Beijing

One-Hour HD Documentary (2017)

What do two Americans have in common with their counterparts in China? More than you think. Join Sarah, a fashion designer from San Francisco and Ryan, an entrepreneur from Silicon Valley as they make their way through Beijing, China. Both are seeking ways to expand their businesses and make connections that will forge long-lasting relationships for future growth.

Beijing, China’s capital city, has long been the center of economic and political development and serves as the hub for domestic and international companies. Many of the countries successful tech businesses started in incubators like the Garage Cafe or Sinovation Ventures just two of the many companies profiled. Other companies featured include visits with successful fashion designers such as Lan Yu of Lanyu Studio, and a popular on-line retailer Soiree.

Both Sarah and Ryan return to the United States surprised at how their interactions with their Chinese counterparts provided opportunities for future collaborations. Sarah was offered the chance to sell and manufacture her designs in China. And Ryan will have the option of working with some of the tech companies helping them establish Silicon Valley offices or programs that could help with business development.

In addition to visiting many well-established companies in Beijing, both Sarah and Ryan were able to enjoy the magnificent Great Wall of China and the 798 Art district.

How do you make a buck in Beijing? Hear how several Chinese entrepreneurs are using their passion as the basis for making big profits.
