Travel the ancient Silk Road with Jamie an accountant and Gareth an architect both from San Francisco, California.   From Xian to Lanzhou to Jiuquan and the Gobi Desert the couple rides the rails in an adventure that takes them far from their creature comforts of life in the United States.

China’s high-speed rail takes them to destinations where they discover and learn about China’s history. A visit to Tang West Market Museum, where areas of the Silk Road are still preserved to this day gives the couple a perspective on how commodities were traded over 1,400 years ago.

Join Jamie and Gareth as they observe the fast pace of development in Lanzhou city and try their hands at making noodles under the guidance of a local noodle master.

Visits to ancient tombs, and caves, and a sheepskin raft ride down the Yellow River capped off by a camel ride in Mingsha Shan make for an exciting adventure that they could have never imagined.
